Supervisor of Imaging and Neurodiagnostic Services

The Imaging Services Supervisor is an integral member of the administrative team. This role provides leadership, operational planning.  The Imaging Services Supervisor promotes team-based development of service delivery standards, integration of quality improvement initiatives, and risk management for Neuroscience Group’s imaging, special procedures, neurodiagnostics, lab and MRI services. 

For over thirty years, Neuroscience Group has provided excellent neurologic care for the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin. Ours is the only medical facility in the area that combines neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional and non-interventional pain management, and physical therapy. Our practice has grown to over 50 providers and serves patients in nine outlying clinics scattered throughout the region. CLINICAL SERVICE DELIVERY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCELLENCE:

• Supervises all imaging, lab, special procedures, neurodiagnostics and MRI activities 
• Develops standards, policies and procedures that ensure caring, compassionate, professional health care services are provided 
• Maintains a safe, clean, and professional environment that complies with all local, state, and federal regulations 
• Responsible for coordination, implementation, evaluation, and management of human resources needed to accomplish the goals of the department 
• Works with staff to develop and maintain effective programs, such as infection control, OSHA, blood borne pathogen and ergonomic programs which promote the health and safety of staff and providers 
• Works with operational leaders and senior leadership in the development and implementation of new service delivery products and services 
• Works with Director of Clinical Operations to assess annual staff-related budget items and assesses monthly expenditures in relation to budget 
• Manages procurement, use and accurate billing of imaging and special procedures supplies and services 
• Works with Business Office to monitor on a regular basis the coding and billing of imaging and special procedure services 
• Works with operations team to optimize access to services through effective scheduling practices.

CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT AND STAFF MENTORING:

• Works with all staff and leadership teams to continually enhance the ideal patient experience utilizing brand building basics and quality improvement efforts into daily activities  
• Serves as a mentor to staff, promoting service excellence, the core values of the organization and promoting individual staff growth through appropriate training and skill development 
• Encourages staff to develop autonomy in managing patient care needs through effective new employee orientation, training, and support 
• Monitors the data collection process, which includes patient satisfaction, cost-effectiveness, and clinical outcomes.  
• Investigates and analyzes applicable software application(s) and prepares acquisition plan to present to senior leadership and operations teams 
• Implements and maintains applicable software application(s) 
• Analyzes and presents outcomes data to selected groups. 
• Establishes team-based metrics and action plans 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS:   

• At least 3 years minimum supervisory/management experience within radiology/NDX strongly preferred. 
• Demonstrates experience in project management, strategic planning, market assessments, and service line development in a highly specialized clinical setting. 
• Demonstrates excellence in business development, communication, and physician relation skills. 
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills and behavior 
• Ability to work independently and organize tasks  
• Ability to maintain a calm and caring attitude while dealing with patients, family, and other team members 
• Ability to adapt to changing practice needs during the day 
• Ability to adapt to changing position requirements 
• Ability to handle multiple projects with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:   

• Requires frequent change in position, including bending, stooping, standing, stretching, and walking and sitting, lifting, pushing, and pulling. 
• May involve lifting of up to 30–40 pounds.
