In this role, you will provide reflective supervision, coaching, and operational leadership while ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed services that prioritize child safety, family connection, and well-being. If you are passionate about supporting staff, fostering professional growth, and creating meaningful impact for children and families, we encourage you to apply!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide reflective, administrative, and operational supervision to Visitation Specialists, supporting professional development, service quality, and adherence to trauma-informed, humanity-centered practices.
  • Lead team meetings, staff training, coaching, performance management, and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with program standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Support program operations, including staff scheduling, caseload oversight, documentation review, data management, coverage coordination, and approval of timecards and related administrative functions.
  • Collaborate with courts, community partners, funders, and internal stakeholders to promote effective service delivery, coordinated case planning, and positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, supervision, and development of staff and interns while fostering an inclusive, equitable, and psychologically safe team environment.
  • Monitor program performance through file reviews, data collection, reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and sound decision-making in complex, high-conflict, or crisis situations, including serving as a program resource in the absence of the Program Manager.

Requirements

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based, trauma-informed supervised visitation practices, including attachment theory, family systems, child development (including infant and early childhood mental health), reflective practice, and relationship-based approaches.
  • Understanding of safety, risk, crisis intervention, intimate partner violence, and anti-racist, equity-centered service delivery.
  • Ability to manage crisis and high-complexity cases with emotional regulation and professional composure.
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and decisive in managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and psychologically safe workplace.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based database systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services (e.g., social work, psychology, human development) required; minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a human services setting preferred. Candidates without a degree may be considered with 5+ years of relevant experience working with children and families impacted by trauma and/or high-conflict custody.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with at-risk children, youth, and families, with knowledge of trauma, family systems, child development, IPV, and structural inequities.
  • Strong supervisory, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with the ability to balance administrative and clinical/program responsibilities.

WORKING AT SPCC: SPCC is committed to providing a trauma-informed, supportive, and inclusive work environment. We value flexibility, professional growth, and reflective supervision.
