Assignments have clear and specified objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables. This role will serve as the liaison between Sourcing and other groups in resolving problems encountered in the supply chain.\n\n \n\nAt Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three (3) days per week\n\n \n\nRelocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.\n\n \n\nBoston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time.\n\n \n\nBoston Scientific was recognized by Forbes as one of the Best Workplaces for Engineers in 2026, reflecting a culture where engineers do meaningful work.\n\n \n\nBoston Scientific was also recognized as a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026, ranking No. 15 on the Top 100 list, reflecting the culture our employees experience every day.\n\n \n\n \n\nYour responsibilities will include:\n\n \n\n * Participate in large-scale projects, or lead small-to-medium scale projects, under guidance from senior engineering staff; use all relevant Boston Scientific business tools \u0026 Core Supplier Engineering procedures including Material Qualification activities and all required Windchill activity\n\n\n * Participate in project teams cooperating with cross-functional team members to qualify and improve supplier processes; plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project\n\n\n * Interface with suppliers with support from commodity team members to drive investigation of supplied material issues or supply constraints\n * Execute material investigations to determine and address the root cause for defective components; support material investigations where defects in supplied materials are identified within the supply base\n * Oversee and coordinate supply base Notifications of Change; demonstrate proficiency in using the Supplier Change Impact Assessment process to implement supplier related changes in the relevant Quality Management System\n\n\n\n \n\nRequired qualifications:\n\n \n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering or related science discipline\n * Minimum of 3 years of supplier and manufacturing engineering experience\n\n\n * Experience in supplier relationship management and/or purchased component management\n * Demonstrated engineering fundamentals (LEAN , DFM, etc.) and problem-solving skills \n * Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in a technically demanding environment \n * Strong written and verbal communication skills\n * Ability to work across different time zones with a global team\n\n\n\n \n\nPreferred qualifications:\n\n \n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field\n * Neuromodulation and/or Urology supplier engineering experience\n * Prior experience in medical device industry or similar, highly-regulated industry \n * Ability to travel, domestic and international, up to 15%\n\n\n\n \n\nRequisition ID: 628995\n\nMinimum Salary: $ 82100\n\nMaximum Salary: $ 156000\n\nThe anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) \u2013 see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com\u2014will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role.
