Supply Base Engineer

Job Description

Using SolidWorks to create new designs and improve existing ones.

Produce engineering drawings and documentation within and according to ANSI standards.

Create and maintain bills of materials (BOM), shop drawings, and manufacturing drawings used in the company MRP system: Fishbowl and/or Arena PLM. 

Coordinate with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and all relevant disciplines in the company as necessary on all aspects of design, drawings, manufacturing, and engineering compliance.

Ensure all work is completed on time and within scheduled targets per Product Manager.

Manage work with different global engineering departments on multiple projects.

International travel to bring products into manufacturing.

Qualifications

For this position you will need to demonstrate the following through a cover letter, resume, and work samples. 

At least 3 years professional work experience using SolidWorks as a core component of your position.

A formal Engineering degree and 3 years professional experience: ASME, BSME, BSMET, or equivalent.

3 years professional design experience in sheet metal, fabrication, enclosures, aluminum, light fixtures, and manufacturing process equipment.

Possess UL/CSA/TUV certifications and 3 years professional experience designing to industry standards.

Proven track record of excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proven track record of independently initiating and maintaining your own workflow.

Ability to respond well to direction and adjust workflow when requested.

Ability to maintain focus in an energetic and dynamic work environment.

Ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple demands.

Training

You will be trained on the specifics of Vode's lighting systems, relevant internal systems, and the construct of the lighting industry and constituents we serve.
