Job Description - Supply Chain Manager


Aehr Test Systems (NASDAQ: AEHR) Headquartered in Fremont, California, Aehr Test Systems is a leading provider of test solutions for testing, burning-in, and stabilizing semiconductor devices in wafer level, singulated die, and package part form, and has installed thousands of systems worldwide. Increasing quality, reliability, safety, and security needs of semiconductors used across multiple applications, including electric vehicles, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, solar and wind power, computing, advanced AI processors, data and telecommunications infrastructure, and solid-state memory and storage, are driving additional test requirements, incremental capacity needs, and new opportunities for Aehr Test products and solutions.



Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead strategic sourcing, procurement, planning, warehouse operations, and supplier management activities for a semiconductor equipment manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex PCB assemblies (PCBAs), contract manufacturing partners, supplier negotiations, and global supply chain operations supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing.


This role is responsible for developing scalable supply chain strategies that support production, engineering, new product introduction (NPI), customer delivery requirements, and warehouse operations while balancing cost, quality, and lead time objectives.



Key Responsibilities



  • Lead all supply chain functions including procurement, planning, sourcing, warehouse operations, supplier management, and contract manufacturing operations.

  • Manage warehouse and stockroom operations including inventory accuracy, cycle counts, material flow, storage optimization, shipping/receiving, and transaction compliance.

  • Develop and implement warehouse processes to support manufacturing efficiency, inventory control, and operational scalability.

  • Manage strategic sourcing and procurement of complex electronic and electro-mechanical components including PCBAs, semiconductors, custom machined parts, cables, and assemblies.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international contract manufacturers and key suppliers.

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, supply agreements, and terms & conditions with suppliers and manufacturing partners.

  • Drive supplier performance related to quality, on-time delivery, responsiveness, cost reduction, and capacity planning.

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by coordinating supply chain readiness, material availability, and supplier qualification.

  • Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, finance, quality, and program management teams to support production schedules and customer commitments.

  • Manage demand planning, inventory optimization, material forecasting, and supply continuity strategies.

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including long lead-time components, allocation issues, obsolescence, and geopolitical impacts.

  • Lead cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.

  • Oversee contract manufacturer material planning, work order execution, inventory management, and production readiness.

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to monitor supplier, warehouse, and overall supply chain performance.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.

  • Mentor and develop buyers, planners, warehouse personnel, and supply chain team members.



Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8+ years of supply chain, procurement, operations, or warehouse management experience in semiconductor equipment, electronics manufacturing, or related high-tech industries.

  • Strong experience with complex PCB assemblies (PCBAs), electronic components, and electro-mechanical systems.

  • Proven experience managing contract manufacturers, warehouse operations, and global supplier networks.

  • Strong background in supplier negotiations, contracts, and strategic sourcing.

  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, warehouse systems, and supply chain planning tools.

  • Strong understanding of inventory control, forecasting, logistics, and materials management.

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with international sourcing and logistics.

  • APICS/CPIM/CSCP certification preferred.

  • Experience with ISO-controlled manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of supply chain risk management and compliance requirements.

Compensation: We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business.  Individual base salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our benefit package includes medical and dental coverage, equity participation plan, 401(k).


The range for this role varies based on experience and may be $140-160K annual.
