Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman is in need of a Supply Chain Planning Specialist 2 to work at its Elkton, Maryland facility. \n\nNorthrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS\u0026C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS\u0026C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.\n\nElkton, Maryland is located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Experience panoramic views from Turkey Point Lighthouse on a bluff overlooking the Bay, or from the banks of the C\u0026D Canal where ships from around the globe cruise. https://www.ccgov.org/government/tourism\n\nDescription:\n\n * Plans, prepares, and communicates production schedules to effectively drive operational execution\n * Establishes schedule priorities within resources, machines, and equipment\n * Analyzes shop floor demand against capacity\n * Engages with stakeholders to resolve potential conflicts / schedule risk\n * Coordinates product handoff between work centers\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Must have 6 years of experience. Will consider those with a bachelors degree plus at least 2 years of Supply Chain, Planning, Operations, or Project Management experience or a Master\u0027s degree in a related field.\n * Analytical skills required for determining priorities, lead times, and shop floor schedules.\n * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to include strong presentation, project, and organizational skills.\n * Robust working knowledge within Outlook, Word, Project, Excel (intermediate level or higher) \u0026 PowerPoint.\n * Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Experience with Earned Value Management a plus.\n * Able to effectively interact in a cross functional group setting, such as Program Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Executives.\n * Able to read and interpret drawings, bills of materials, routings, non-conforming materials reports, and other common manufacturing documents.\n * Ability to evaluate and analyze spreadsheets and data to enable operational decision-making or present clear recommendations to cross functional group, both verbally and in writing.\n * Basic understanding of critical path, value chain, project life cycle, and Theory of Constraints (TOC)\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $72,400.00 - $108,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
