Support Partner (Direct Support Professional)

As a Support Partner you will be providing direct support in partnership with people with disabilities, on a one-to-one basis, in their own homes and communities. Services include direct support in the form of community involvement and/or accommodation with all activities of daily living including personal care, communication, transportation and inclusive social and recreational activities.

We are looking to partner with people who are creative, energetic and like to have fun. We are looking for people who want to ensure that ALL people's rights are secured, that people can live a self-determined life and who believe in equity!

We are hiring for a full-time position(38 hours per week) in Nazareth!

AVAILABLE SHIFTS:

Sunday 10AM - 10PM

Tuesday 2PM -10PM

Thursday 2PM - Friday 8AM (overnight)

We are hiring for a person who prefers mature and experienced Support Partners who are flexible and patient; have a calm demeanor & are good listeners; and who pay attention to detail and are adaptable.  

He loves 80s/90s-esque cartoons/movies, college football, and the Catholic Church. The ideal candidate will have some similar interests and can assist him with his daily living in his home and exploring his interests in his community. 

Personal or professional experience with people with intellectual disabilities and a mental health diagnosis is a plus. 

He needs support in the following areas: 

• verbal and physical support when in the home and community
• supervision and assistance with hygiene needs 
• shopping & food preparation 
• light housework and laundry
• community activities
• maintaining routine and schedule

• A high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year experience supporting people to live in the community.
• Possession of a valid drivers license with a safe driving record.
• Access to a reliable vehicle, proof of current vehicle registration, inspection, and insurance.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Be or willing to be Covid-19 Vaccinated prior to employment.
