Survey Technician

HUNT EAS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Technician to join our team in our Binghamton New York Office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of current surveying standards, technologies, and methodologies, including design, right-of-way (ROW), boundary, construction, and GPS surveys.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct field data review, post-processing, and analysis.


• Utilize CADD workstations, including
  AutoCAD and/or OpenRoads, to prepare:
  
  
  
  • Planimetric mapping
  
  
  • Topographic mapping
  
  
  • Utility mapping
  
  
  • Boundary surveys
  
  
  • Right-of-Way (ROW) mapping
  
  
  • Easement mapping
  
  
  • ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys
  
  
  
  


• Assist with records research, boundary analysis, boundary line determination, and map preparation under the supervision of a licensed land surveyor.


• Ensure all work complies with current technical standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (A.S. or A.A.S.) in Land Surveying preferred.


• Minimum of 2 years of surveying industry experience preferred.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Highly detail-oriented and goal-driven.


• Working knowledge of surveying-related computer hardware and software applications.


• Understanding of professional surveying ethics, industry standards, and professional organizations.


• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation OpenRoads, GPS data processing, and survey computations is a plus.
