Surveyor/GPS Technician

A&A Safety, Inc. is currently seeking a Surveyor/GPS Technician to join our team. This position plays a critical role in providing construction layout data and building machine control models to support efficient and accurate field production. The Surveyor/GPS Technician collaborates with project teams to ensure the successful implementation of plan designs and schedules in the field. We’re looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Responsibilities

• Collect geographic data using survey grade equipment


• Create, update, and manage 3D models utilizing Trimble Business Center


• Work with Paving and Construction crews to confirm accuracy of placed material.


• Operate and maintain GPS equipment


• Prepare Cut and Fill reports using Trimble Access and Trimble Siteworks


• Conduct data quality control and assurance checks


• Coordinate with project managers, clients and supervision staff to complete projects on time

Qualifications

• Experience with Trimble surveying software and hardware preferred


• Strong understanding of construction layouts and GPS modeling


• Excellent organizational and communication skills


• Ability to interpret construction plans and specifications


• Comfortable working outdoors and in various field environments


• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed
