Job Description - SW Packaging Lead

Responsibilities: 



  1. Motivation, i.e., helping Soundwich succeed within Job Classification Responsibilities

  2. Proficient in the use of applicable ERP System (e.g., PLEX) functions with respect to Job Classification Responsibilities

  3. Load/unload Materials/Product

  4. Catch, label, package, sort, and rework Product

  5. Effectively perform Quality Verifications with indicated Inspection Devices, including Visual Inspections (Master Competency Matrix, PLEX Control Plans (Checksheets)

  6. Maintain Hourly Rates set forth by Management

  7. Lead daily packing activities across all pack areas

  8. Ensure correct packaging materials, pallet configuration, and load stability

  9. Assist with physical inventory cycle counts when requested by Management

  10. Maintain deep and up-to-date knowledge of all Customer packing and handling requirements

  11. Lead by example in promoting safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism on the packing floor

  12. Review Daily Pack Schedule with St. Clair Production Supervisor and execute packing plan accordingly

  13. Provide feedback to St. Clair Production Supervisor and Plant Manager to support continual improvement of shop floor processes

  14. Understand and follow all Company Procedures pertaining to assigned tasks, and the potential consequences of departure from these Procedures

  15. Perform Aerospace Resistance Weld Visual Inspection activities as a trained backup/alternate in accordance with Procedures and Customer Requirements

  16. Perform Aerospace Resistance Weld Destruct Testing activities as a trained backup/alternate in accordance with applicable Procedures and Customer Requirements

  17. Knowledge of the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, all Company Policies, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Customer requirements

  18. Knowledge of the effects that nonconforming products have on our Customers

  19. Knowledge of the Environmental Policy, Environmental Objectives, all Safety Polices, and the importance of conformance to Soundwich and Regulatory requirements

  20. Aware of the Quality impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Quality System and the benefits of improved personal performance

  21. Aware of the Environmental and Safety impacts of their work activities, their roles and responsibilities in achieving conformance within the Environmental and Safety System and the benefits of improved personal performance

  22. Aware of how to submit Quality, Safety, Environmental and Business-related questions or suggestions, and how initiate continual improvements

  23. Other tasks deemed by Soundwich Management to be in the best interest of Soundwich and our Customers


 


Requirements:



  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

  • Stand for lengthy periods of time

  • Excellent attendance

  • Vision (corrected or uncorrected) to AWS D17.2 Section 4.4.1.1

  • Basic computer skills

  • Minimum Language Skills: English


 


Education:



  • High School Diploma or GED
