Position
We are seeking an experienced Swiss CNC Programmer/Set-up Machinist to develop, optimize, and support CNC machining processes for the production of precision components. This hands-on role is responsible for programming 8-axis CNC equipment, supporting first article production, improving manufacturing efficiency, and collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
Create CNC programs and shop drawings using CAD/CAM software such as Esprit and/or Mastercam.
Develop and optimize machining processes for new and existing products.
Coordinate tooling selection, qualification, and standardization.
Establish set-up standards and procedures.
Set up and run first article parts.
Support manufacturing operations with tooling modifications and troubleshooting.
Improve cycle times, quality, and productivity.
Collaborate across departments to improve manufacturing capabilities.
Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements.
Maintain ERP records.
Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED plus technical training or equivalent experience
4+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
Experience programming with Esprit and/or Mastercam
Ability to set-up Swiss CNC machines – Tsugami and Citizen
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills
Preferred
Advanced CAD/CAM programming experience.
Experience supporting medical device or high-precision manufacturing environments.
Continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing experience.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
