System Director, Clinical Excellence and ACNO

The System Director of Clinical Excellence and Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) provides system-wide leadership to advance clinical practice, quality outcomes, and evidence-based care delivery across Premier Health. This role collaborates closely with nursing leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement in patient care and clinical outcomes. \n\nThis leader is responsible for mentoring clinical teams, guiding strategic initiatives, and influencing organizational decisions through expertise, collaboration, and data-driven insights.\n\nKey Responsibilities \n\nLeadership \u0026 Team Management \n\n * Provide strategic direction, oversight, and mentorship to Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) and advanced practice clinicians \n\n\n\n\n * Supervise approximately 30 FTEs, including performance management, coaching, and professional development \n\n\n\n\n * Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning \n\n\n\n\nClinical Excellence \u0026 Quality Improvement \n\n * Lead implementation and standardization of evidence-based clinical practices \n\n\n\n\n * Drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety \n\n\n\n\n * Support clinical research and integration of best practices into care delivery \n\n\n\n\nCollaboration \u0026 Stakeholder Engagement \n\n * Partner with physicians, APPs, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams across the system \n\n\n\n\n * Serve as a liaison to align clinical initiatives with organizational strategy \n\n\n\n\n * Influence decision-making through clinical expertise and relationship-building \n\n\n\n\nStrategic Planning \u0026 Program Development \n\n * Participate in system-level strategic planning and policy development \n\n\n\n\n * Lead development and evaluation of clinical programs and initiatives \n\n\n\n\n * Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement \n\n\n\n\nData Analysis \u0026 Reporting \n\n * Analyze clinical and operational data to assess performance and outcomes \n\n\n\n\n * Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership \n\n\n\n\n * Use data to guide decision-making and improve care delivery \n\n\n\n\nEducation \u0026 Professional Development \n\n * Partner with education teams to support ongoing clinical training and development \n\n\n\n\n * Promote evidence-based practice and professional growth among clinical staff \n\n\n\n\nEducation \n\n * Master\u2019s degree in Nursing required \n\n\n\n\n * Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) preferred \n\n\n\n\nLicensure \u0026 Certification \n\n * Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio \n\n\n\n\n * Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification required \n\n\n\n\nExperience \n\n * Minimum of 3\u20135 years of relevant experience in advanced practice or clinical leadership \n\n\n\n\n * Prior experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist, APRN, or similar role \n\n\n\n\n * Demonstrated experience leading teams, driving quality improvement, and managing change initiatives \n\n\n\n\nPreferred Experience \n\n * Experience managing advanced practice providers or clinical teams \n\n\n\n\n * Background in healthcare strategy, policy development, or program management \n\n\n\n\n * Experience with credentialing, privileging, and regulatory compliance \n\n\n\n
