Our employees are not only part of history, they\u0027re making history.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Systems Engineer 5 to serve as the Technical Deputy Program Manager to support a program out of our Aurora, CO location. This role will be 50% Technical Program Management and 50% technical support to the program in any of the following areas: RF Engineering, System Administration, Network Administration, Cyber Engineering, Integration and Test, Systems Engineering, or Operations.\n\nPosition Overview:\n\n * Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community.\n * Developing new business opportunities through development of proposals and business plans.\n * Measuring and reporting program performance.\n * Delivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders.\n * Working with the Chief Engineer and Chief Architect to design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test.\n * Identification, distribution, tracking, and completion of program requirements.\n * Adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost \u0026 schedule control methodologies and tools.\n * Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning.\n * Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards.\n * Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope and manages change through control board activities.\n * Adherence to master plans and schedules.\n * This position requires multidiscipline knowledge in all areas related to systems engineering including systems design, modeling, requirements development and mapping, and integration and test.\n\n\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u0027s degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience, a master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of relevant experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience\n * Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required at time of application\n * Experience supporting and/or managing Space programs related to developing software and ground systems\n * Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager\n * Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal.\n * Experience in risk and opportunity management\n * Experience managing subcontract and supply chain elements of the program in a manner that supports program goals and company strategy\n * Experience managing the maintenance, operations, and support of production systems\n * Experience managing communications with stakeholders and customers.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Excellent organizational and written communication skills, as well as project management planning and presentation skills\n * Experience with different contract types (Cost Plus, Fixed Price, Time \u0026 Materials).\n * Experience managing cost proposals\n * Experience with Agile software development and software development lifecycle\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
