Talent Acquisition Consultant - People & Talent

Under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Consultant is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing recruitment strategies to meet the hospital's current and anticipated nursing workforce needs. This role manages full‑cycle recruitment activities, builds sustainable talent pipelines, and partners closely with hiring managers and directors to attract and retain top talent through cost‑effective and innovative sourcing methods. The Consultant serves as a brand ambassador for Tampa General Hospital by maintaining strong community relationships, participating in employment events, and engaging with educational institutions. All duties are performed in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Essential Functions:

• Develop and implement recruitment strategies and programs to meet current and future staffing needs.
• Manage full‑cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection support, and offer consultation.
• Partner with hiring managers and directors to assess workforce needs and provide recruitment guidance and recommendations.
• Source candidates through applicant tracking systems, social media platforms, government resources, and community outreach initiatives.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for anticipated staffing needs and hard‑to‑fill roles.
• Serve as a brand ambassador for Tampa General Hospital through participation in local and regional job fairs, campus events, and community partnerships.
• Collaborate with universities, technical schools, and external partners to promote nursing careers and develop future talent.
• Actively participate in candidate interviews and provide hiring recommendations to management.
• Communicate the organization’s total compensation package, benefits, and employment value proposition clearly and accurately to candidates.
• Ensure all recruitment activities comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable employment laws.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience and formal training in Human Resources practices including recruitment, compensation, benefits administration, HRIS and/or employee relations.

Skills & Abilities:

• Comprehensive knowledge of full‑cycle recruitment, workforce needs, talent pipeline development, and staffing strategies.
• Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations, including ADA, FLSA, FMLA, Civil Rights Act, Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment laws, Joint Commission, and AHCA requirements.
• Ability to source, attract, and engage candidates through applicant tracking systems, government job boards, social media platforms, and community partnerships.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to influence, advise, and collaborate with candidates, hiring managers, educational partners, and community stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze recruitment trends, market data, and staffing needs to provide recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and workforce strategies.
• Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, recruitment technologies, Microsoft Office tools, and electronic communication methods to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
