This position is primarily on-site at IET Corporation's Hollywood, Maryland office. After six months of employment, the position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule based on performance, demonstrated ability to independently manage responsibilities, and business needs.

COMPENSATION: Starting at $60,000 annually, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

IET Corporation is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help build and strengthen our internal recruiting function as our organization continues to grow.

This is an opportunity for someone early in their talent acquisition career who is ready to grow beyond simply posting jobs and scheduling interviews. Working closely with IET Corporation's People & Culture leadership, this individual will help develop the processes, partnerships, and talent pipelines needed to support the company's continued growth.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will recruit for opportunities throughout the DMV region while also supporting hiring needs for projects and operations across the country and internationally, as needed. The role will also take an active part in developing IET Corporation's future workforce through ownership of our internship program and intentional relationship-building with trade schools, colleges, workforce organizations, and other talent partners.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Recruiting & Candidate Experience

• Support and increasingly own the full recruiting process from sourcing through accepted offer for assigned positions.


• Partner with hiring managers to understand current and upcoming hiring needs, position requirements, and ideal candidate profiles.


• Create and maintain job postings across appropriate recruiting platforms.


• Source candidates through job boards, professional networks, referrals, schools, workforce partners, and other recruiting channels.


• Review applications and resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings.


• Coordinate interviews between candidates and IET Corporation hiring teams.


• Maintain consistent and timely communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process.


• Help ensure every candidate has an organized, professional, and positive experience with IET Corporation.


• Maintain accurate candidate records, recruiting activity, and applicant information within BambooHR.


• Support recruiting needs throughout the DMV region as well as projects and operations across the United States and internationally, as needed.

Talent Pipeline & Relationship Development

• Build and maintain candidate pipelines for recurring, high-demand, and anticipated positions.


• Develop relationships with trade schools, technical education programs, apprenticeship programs, colleges, universities, workforce development organizations, veteran organizations, and community partners.


• Serve as an ongoing point of contact for key school and workforce partners.


• Identify opportunities for IET Corporation to become more involved with trade schools and other programs that align with future workforce needs.


• Coordinate and attend career fairs, trade school events, college recruiting events, workforce events, and other recruiting opportunities.


• Help create long-term recruiting partnerships that allow IET Corporation to build relationships with potential candidates before positions become available.

Internship Program

• Coordinate and help grow IET Corporation's internship program.


• Partner with schools, colleges, and internal leaders to identify internship opportunities and potential candidates.


• Coordinate internship recruiting, candidate communication, interviews, selections, and onboarding.


• Maintain communication with interns and internal leaders throughout the internship experience.


• Help establish consistent expectations, timelines, processes, and resources for internship opportunities.


• Gather feedback from interns and internal leaders and identify opportunities to continuously improve the program.


• Help develop the internship program into a long-term pipeline for future IET Corporation talent.

Recruiting Process Development

• Work closely with People & Culture leadership to help develop and document IET Corporation's internal recruiting process.


• Help create standardized recruiting workflows, screening questions, interview guides, candidate communications, templates, and other recruiting resources.


• Identify opportunities to make recruiting more efficient, consistent, and scalable as the organization grows.


• Track recruiting activity and key metrics such as candidate sources, applicant activity, time to fill, interview activity, and hiring outcomes.


• Research recruiting tools, platforms, partnerships, and best practices and bring forward practical recommendations.


• Look for opportunities to improve both the candidate experience and the hiring-manager experience.


• Take increasing ownership of the recruiting function as knowledge, experience, and organizational needs grow.

Employer Brand & Recruiting Outreach

• Partner with Marketing and People & Culture on recruitment marketing and employer-brand initiatives.


• Help communicate what makes IET Corporation a place where people can join, belong, grow, and build a career.


• Identify employee stories, career paths, projects, internship experiences, and other opportunities that can support recruiting efforts.


• Support recruiting campaigns and content for social media, career pages, schools, events, and other outreach channels.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Approximately 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, human resources, or another related people-focused role preferred.


• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates, employees, hiring managers, schools, and external partners.


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple open positions, candidates, projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.


• Comfortable communicating with individuals at different levels of an organization and from a variety of professional backgrounds.


• Comfortable learning new systems, processes, industries, and recruiting tools.


• Familiarity with BambooHR or a similar applicant tracking system (ATS)/HRIS preferred.


• Ability to handle candidate and employee information with professionalism and discretion.


• Interest in developing and improving processes rather than simply following an established system.


• Ability and willingness to periodically travel for career fairs, school visits, recruiting events, and other talent initiatives.


• Experience recruiting within the construction, electrical, technology, government contracting, or skilled-trades industries is helpful but not required.
