Tavon Learning Center Executive Director

At Tavon, we’ve built something exceptional: a nature-based learning program that blends outdoor exploration, community engagement, and individualized support in ways few programs can match. Our members grow vegetables in our gardens, ride the light rail to explore their community, hike forest trails, and build skills for greater independence. In doing so, we meet a critical need by providing meaningful opportunities for participants and invaluable respite for families and caregivers.

After nearly two decades of founder-led leadership, Tavon is entering an exciting new chapter. The next Executive Director will honor the organization’s strong culture and high-quality programs while strengthening the people, systems, partnerships, and resources needed for long-term sustainability and thoughtful growth.

This role places you at the center of meaningful work. In partnership with the Board and staff, you will provide strategic leadership, guide a talented and committed team, advance Tavon’s mission, and help shape its future. As the public face of the organization, you will cultivate relationships, secure resources, and champion a community where members thrive, families find support, staff take pride in their work, and peers recognize Tavon as a model of excellence.

Location: Greater Seattle area (Issaquah, WA)

Posting Date: At minimum, posting will remain open until October 12 with priority review of applications received by October 5; may remain open longer if not filled. Interviews expected to begin as early as mid-October, early applications are strongly encouraged.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $165,000
