Our Firm is looking to add a Tax Associate to work in our tax department, as well as perform other functions as needed. An ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team. The position requires frequent contact with management and our clients, so we are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a fast-paced team and has a passion for learning.

Minimum Entry Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
Foundational understanding of tax law.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in an efficient, organized manner.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are a necessity.
Time management skills and the ability to prioritize a must.
Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently (with minimal supervision).
Knowledge seeking with a willingness to learn.
Essential Functions
Prepare federal and state income tax returns for clients on a timely basis, including maintaining schedules and appropriate paperwork.
Periodically prepare state compliance filings, such as authority to do business in new tax jurisdictions when appropriate, and annual report filings in registered states.
Periodically assist with federal and state tax audits and defend positions taken in client tax returns.
Provide assistance to team members and clients as necessary.
Identify opportunities for client tax savings and make recommendations.
Research technical issues
Understanding of client businesses
Find solutions to complex tax matters and assist in client implementation.
Prepare tax projections and tax plans for clients.
Meets charge hour and realization expectations.
