About the Opportunity

A well-established, full-service tax, accounting, and business consulting firm in Fort Myers, Florida is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its growing tax practice.

The firm offers the resources and capabilities of a larger organization while maintaining the collaborative environment and personalized approach of a smaller firm. The team works closely with business owners, executives, high-net-worth individuals, and independent professionals on a broad range of tax compliance, planning, and advisory matters.

This position is particularly well suited for a tax professional with strong corporate and partnership tax experience who is ready to take greater ownership of engagements and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses, including C-Corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Take a lead role in corporate and partnership tax preparation and review.
• Manage multiple tax engagements simultaneously while ensuring deadlines and client expectations are consistently met.
• Provide proactive tax planning, research, and advisory services.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop strategies based on clients' individual circumstances and business needs.
• Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Assist clients with tax audits, notices, inquiries, and other matters involving taxing authorities.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted resource on tax matters.
• Collaborate with accounting and advisory professionals to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
• Stay current on changes to federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and staff-level tax professionals.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of public accounting or relevant tax experience preferred.
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing both individual and business tax returns.
• Demonstrated strength in corporate and partnership taxation.
• Experience with C-Corporations, S-Corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individual taxation.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• CPA or EA preferred; candidates working toward a professional credential may also be considered.
• Strong analytical, tax research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.

• $100,000–$150,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications
