Tax Senior

As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated Tax Senior to join

the team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong

background in tax preparation and advisory services to contribute to our

success and take their career to the next level.

How You Will Contribute:

• First year seniors 70% review and 30% preparation, experienced seniors 100% review of tax returns for Partnerships (1065), and S and C-corps (1120), Individuals (1040) and others, as assigned.
• Handle routine client tax questions, research tax issues, and work with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.
• Assist in tax field exams and any tax notice resolutions.
• Recognize and inform senior management of opportunities to increase level and types of services to clients.
• Assist with training and developing staff and interns.

Skills - Must Have:

• US CPA designation or pursuing a CPA (eligible to sit with 150 credit hours)
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting at a mid-market firm (not looking for Big 4 candidates at this time)
• Experience in US tax review, preparation and returns for Partnerships, S and C-corps and Individuals
• Client experience in: Manufacturing, real estate, professional services, restaurant, and retail.
• Must be able to work hybrid in one of the offices in Illinois (Chicago, Deerfield and Downers Grove)

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting.
• Eligible to sit (with 150 credit hours) or working towards obtaining CPA.
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting industry at a mid-market firm.
