Tax - Senior

Primary Duties:

• Detail review of federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, including preparation of more complex federal and state tax returns
• Consultation with individuals and businesses relating to tax planning
• Client management and building relationships
• Tax research

Occasionally client work could be outside, in a warehouse, on factory floors, etc., if necessary.

• Frequent same-day travel, using a personal vehicle, for work at client’s offices, meetings or seminars.
• Occasional out-of-town travel, using a personal vehicle or firm provided transportation, with overnight stay for work at clients, meetings or seminars.
• Heavy overtime work is required from February 1 through April 15th (“busy season”) and may be in excess of 55 hours per week.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required with 2+ years’ experience in accounting or related field
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Must possess a current and valid Certified Public Accountants (CPA) license or working towards obtaining CPA license.
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Attention to detail
• Possess ability to self-motivate, work with a sense of urgency, and to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work well with others
• Willingness to learn
