About Krejci Academy:

Krejci ("Kret-see") Academy is a therapeutic day school in Warrenville, IL, serving individuals on the autism spectrum ages 5 - 22 years. We are able to provide small class sizes that speak to students' individual needs. Each classroom is led by a Special Education Teacher with the support of a Teacher Assistant and one or more Paraprofessionals.

General Summary:

Support and assist Special Education Teacher in implementing a therapeutic classroom program reflecting the needs of the student as specified in the students Individual Educational Plan (IEP). Specifically:

• daily group/individual activities.
• recording observations, data collection, incident reports, and documentation of all students
• attendance, records and grading student work

In the absence of the teacher, will assume leadership of classroom, maintain classroom organization and program implementation.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

8:45am - 2:45pm

Compensation:

Starting at $21.50/hr

License requirement (Little Friends can assist candidates with this process):

• Bachelor's degree
• Substitute teaching license through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain an Illinois substitute teaching certificate. (reimbursable by Little Friends upon hiring)
• Lift 75 pounds and stand for periods of time.
• Minimum age of 19 years old.
