Team Lead Respiratory Services - (Nights) FT

The Team Leader leads an assigned team of therapists cultivating collaboration, enthusiasm, and mutual respect while providing patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care, improving service levels, reducing the length of hospitalization, and decreasing costs. Through collaboration and with the manager’s leadership, the Team Leader leads the team in providing patients and their families with patient focused care. The Team Leader participates in the overall planning, organization, direction and evaluation of patient care operations and is key in operationalizing the health system’s mission, values and goals. The Team Leader assists in guiding and coaching the work performance of respiratory therapists in their designated areas, ensuring ongoing collaboration with other departments/areas that relate directly or indirectly to patient care operations. The TL Respiratory Care Services provides direct patient care and respiratory pharmacologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic modalities to all age groups. The incumbent has access to confidential patient information, makes decisions independently and in collaboration with other team members, directors and physicians and works under the direct supervision of the Respiratory Care Manager.

Minimum Qualifications Required Educational Degree: Associate Degree 

Major/Area of Concentration: Respiratory Therapy 

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State of Ohio. BLS. ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support and PALS- Pediatric Advanced Life Support. NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days.

 Preferred Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Required Experience: Clinical experience in acute care Preferred Experience: Prior demonstration of leadership/management skills.
