Job Description - Team Manager for Substance Use Disorder Intervention Program
Links Global seeks applicants for a Substance Use Disorder Intervention Program Team Manager position to serve a Montgomery County, Maryland program to prevent substance use disorder and support intervention programming to address the needs of youth, young adults, their families, and the local community. The program focuses on youth and young adults who are at high risk for substance use and their family members and is designed to engage directly with youth and young adults who identify as using substances and their families to develop a relationship with the youth and/or young adult and connect them and their family to pertinent services. The outreach and engagement strategy does not involve the direct delivery of treatment activities. The outreach team will be involved in establishing and maintaining active, positive working relationships with community prevention and harm reduction service providers and primary referral sources including the police, schools, and local organizations serving youth, education of police and other partners, and promotion of the intervention program locally. Outreach and education interventions will use evidence-based practices.
Employment Type: Full-time, contract-based position
Work Days/Hours: 40 hours per week. Primarily M-F, normal day hours, but requires some weekend or evening hours to accommodate participation at community events. If you work late or on a Saturday, you take other time off during the week.
The primary duties of the position include:
Provide administrative oversight of a small team and the project
Collaborate closely with Montgomery County's Prevention and Harm Reduction Services staff
Coordinate the accurate collection of program participant data, track outcomes, and oversee the submission of monthly data reports
Attend administrative meetings with the county and also attend all overdose prevention team meetings to discuss the status of the program
Deliver a minimum of 8 presentations per year on SUD prevention intervention program practices and procedures to community partners, youth, young adults, and families or other interest groups
Organize weekly team meetings to review new referrals and discuss active cases
Conduct daily review of all intervention requests and responses
Assign a designee to meet all new referrals to complete program enrollment, develop an initial care plan of action, and engage the client's family or social support system
Establish, coordinate, and oversee weekly outreach to high-risk individuals who are not ready to engage in treatment
Work closely with the County's prevention and harm reduction services team
Review and update care coordination plans, monthly
Ensure collection and maintaining of accurate data regarding deflection/diversion or referrals, assessments, treatment engagement, treatment completion, outreach efforts and other data
Provide oversite of the outreach team and support staff on the Links Global team
Other duties as assigned
Work requires frequent travel to various sites within Montgomery County, MD. Candidates must have a working vehicle and the capability of driving (i.e., a valid license). Mileage costs will be reimbursed.
Minimum requirements:
Certified Prevention Professional (CPP) credentials by the Maryland Association of Prevention Professionals and Advocates or working toward being certified
Minimum 3 years of experience in behavioral health working as a supervisor
Minimum of 3 years experience working with individuals with mental health or co-occurring disorders and specifically working with youth and young adults with SUD and providing case management
Knowledge of local organizations within Montgomery County, MD, and prevention, treatment, and harm reduction resources
Experience in data gathering, interpretation, and evaluation
Strong interpersonal and group presentation communication skills and writing skills
Computer skills with MS Office
Legal work status
Ability to pass a background check
Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
Applicants selected will be subject to a background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements. Disqualifying factors include personal history such as recent or repeated felony or misdemeanor convictions, pending criminal charges, and recent illegal drug use.

Wage is based on $85,000 per year plus fringe benefits
