Team Member

SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

· Greets customers with a positive and friendly attitude

· Enters orders into POS system, uses suggestive selling of food products to customers, receives payment (cash and credit card), makes change and maintains cash drawer

· Presents orders to guests and ensures accuracy of order

· Assists with ordering filling as needed

· Reads monitor to identify products that need to be prepared

· Notifies cook of special orders, shortages and needs

· Other general duties include: minor food preparation, stocking of supplies, cleaning of dining room tables and restrooms, sweeping, mopping, discarding of trash and filling ice bins

· Sets up workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment as needed

· Communicates with customers, team members and managers in a positive and professional manner

· Maintains cleanliness on the service counter and order presentation counter

· Maintains cleanliness, organization, and rotation of the display cooler

· Observes health and sanitation guidelines and follows established procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness, health & safety protocols.

·  Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and takes ownership of area

· Looks for opportunities to assist fellow team members in an enthusiastic manner

· Other duties as assigned

· Must be willing to work variable schedules. Evenings, weekends, holidays

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Less than high school education, GED or high school degree preferred. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to comprehend simple instructions. 

COMPUTER SKILLS 

No skills are required.

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Must obtain State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat from cooking equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employees will be expected to purchase non-slip shoes due to wet, slippery floors and can purchase through the company at a discount.

Pay Range: $10 - $13 per hour (based on experience)
