# What You\u2019ll Do\n\nAs a Technical Support Engineer (TSE), you\u2019ll provide technical support remotely and on site, to Field Service Operations (FSO) personnel for highly complex problems involving equipment malfunction, on wafer issues, and performance enhancement programs where first-line product support was unable to isolate or fix a problem. Using advanced troubleshooting methodologies, you\u2019ll establish success criteria, develop comprehensive action plans, analyze and compile findings, perform root cause analysis, and support FSO repair activities through escalation closure.\n\n# Role Responsibilities\n\n * Support multiple technical escalations, resolve with focus on time to resolution and quality of work\n\n * Attend customer field issues meetings with FSO, collaborate with BU engineers\n\n * Recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services\n\n * Publish Technical Lessons Learned, troubleshooting guides, technical (ET) papers, etc.\n\n * Provide on-site coaching to Field Service Operations\n\n * Provide Alpha and Beta Site support\n\n * Support NPI development early in the product life cycle, and at key customer sites\n\n * Support BU DFx (Design for Service / Install) projects\n\n * Create, or collaborate in creation of, innovative advanced trouble shooting tools \n\n * Coach colleagues with less experience; lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements\n\n * Solve complex problems using new perspectives on existing solutions\n\n * Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information and data\n\n\n\n\n# Minimum Qualifications\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree (or equivalent) in a technical field\n\n * 4\u20137 years of Semiconductor Etch experience\n\n * Proficiency with Microsoft suite and tools such as SAP, VSPI, and ARK\n\n\n\n\n# Preferred Qualifications\n\n * Exhibit exceptional communication skills\u2014able to explain difficult or sensitive information\n\n * Demonstrate excellent relationship management skills\u2014works to build consensus and effectively manage difficult situations and stressful environments\n\n * Aware of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market\n\n\n\n\n\\-----------------\n\nAdditional Information \n\n * Shift: Mon-Fri 8 hr per day\n\n * Travel: Yes, generally 25% of the time, but could be as high as 50%.\n\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree\n\n### Skills\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n4 - 7 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\n10-Day 8-Hr (United States of America)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\nYes, 50% of the Time\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nNo\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nEmployee Referral (Standard)\n\nU.S. Salary Range:\n\n$96,000.00 - $132,000.00\n\nThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
