Job Description - Technician IV - 2nd Shift

Eaton\u2019s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Technician IV - 2nd Shift at our Reno, NV location! \n\nThe core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $27.17 per hour + $0.50 per hour shift premium.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Below are a few of the outstanding benefits that we offer:\n\n * Health benefits effective day one of employment.\n * Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more! \n\n\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nIn this function, you will: \n\n * Operate assigned machines/presses\n * Troubleshoot various machinery problems\n * Perform coil changes \n * QC and document all parts run on machines\n * Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system\n * Verify inventory of components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production\n * Keep work areas clean and safe\n * Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\n\n * No relocation package offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitations.\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Previous experience in a manufacturing environment\n * Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.\n * A minimum of 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines\n * A minimum of 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Able to operate machinery and presses safely\n * Able to read and accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings \n * Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material\n * Able to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision\n\n\n\n## Additional Information:\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\n * Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.\n * Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.\n\n\n\nWorking Conditions:\n\n * Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while roll-up doors are open \n * Fast paced working, while maintaining safety priorities\n\n\n\n#LI-SK1\n\n#IND123\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
