Technology Alignment Manager Fix Problems Before Clients Ever See Them

Most IT jobs are about fixing what broke. This one is about making sure it never breaks in the first place. Bmore Technology is looking for a Technology Alignment Manager to lead our Technology Alignment practice in White Marsh — a proactive, client-facing role for someone who loves getting out to client sites, knowing their environments inside and out, spotting risks early, and being the trusted advisor clients are glad to see walk through the door. You’ll work hand in hand with our vCIO to keep every client aligned with industry and Bmore best practices, and you’ll be the go-to expert our service and project teams turn to for your clients.

What You’ll Do

• Get out in the field — visit client sites across the Baltimore region for regular, proactive alignment reviews
• Be the expert everyone asks — know your clients’ environments better than anyone, and be the person our service and project teams come to for answers
• Stop problems early — review ticket trends, identify technical risks, and drive reactive tickets down
• Be the trusted advisor — build real relationships with clients and explain what you find in plain language
• Set the standard — help build our Standards Library and bring every client environment into alignment with it
• Partner with our vCIO — work side by side on each client’s technology roadmap, flag where they’re out of alignment, and help decide what gets fixed first
• Share the on-call rotation for after-hours support

Pay & Benefits

• Salary of $60,000 – $75,000 per year, based on experience, formal education, and certifications

• Previous MSP or IT consulting experience — you’ll support many different clients with very different environments, and thriving in that variety is a skill of its own
• A bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, or 3+ years of hands-on IT experience — plus multiple technical certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, networking, or security)
• You’ve been the tech — you’ve worked the tickets, handled the escalations your team sent your way, and sat across from clients explaining what happened and what’s next
• Genuine comfort talking with clients — you can build trust, explain what you found, and get buy-in on what to fix
• A proactive mindset — you’d rather prevent the outage than get the 2 a.m. call about it
• Organization, attention to detail, and the self-motivation to run your own schedule of client visits
• A valid driver’s license — you’ll be out at client sites across the Baltimore region regularly (we provide the company car)
