Temporary - Quality Control CMM Inspector

IMG, an Ichor Company, is hiring a temporary Quality Control / CMM Inspector for its Livermore, CA manufacturing facility. This role ensures precision-machined aerospace and defense components and assemblies meet customer, quality, and engineering requirements such as AS9100. The Inspector measures parts with mechanical inspection tools and compares the results to drawings and/or specifications, as well as documents measurements, communicates findings, and provides feedback to the manufacturing team.

Shift: M-F 1:30pm to 10pm

Responsibilities

• Perform first piece, work-in-process, final inspection including visual inspections.
• Support manufacturing with mechanical and visual inspection for first piece.
• Record and maintain quality records.
• Accurately and thoroughly communicate inspection results, findings, and useful information to the manufacturing team.
• Perform customer First Article Inspection.
• Initiate a Non-Conforming Material Report for any discrepancy.
• Works well with others, communicates effectively with peers and manufacturing and participates with teams to solve issues and continuous improvement effort.
• Help with various other tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR and internal quality standards.

Requirements

• Must be proficient in print reading and GD&T.
• Perform CMM Inspection and Mechanical inspection for in-process and final inspections.

• Experience with operating manual and/or DCC CMMs—knowledge of CMM Manager or MCosmo preferred.

• Identify and record any product quality problem(s).
• Communicate all quality issues to management in a timely manner, along with recommendations for corrective actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Attention to detail with requirements and documentation and other processes.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the ability to make judgements based on facts, data points, and quality guidelines for each product.
• Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments. 
• Two to three or more experience as a quality inspector.
• Able to do Flow Tester, Nikon Video CMM is a plus

 Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification is required.

 Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and reach, push, pull, carry, or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work is conducted in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, coolant, dust, mist, temperature variations, and moving machinery. 
• Occasionally high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, exposure to oils and cutting fluid.
• Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
• Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading written instructions, lists, documents, blueprints, and computer screen.

ITAR
The business site where this position is located is an ITAR-compliant operation. Due to ITAR regulations, Ichor Systems is only able to employ US Persons. For candidates based in CA: The base salary range for this temporary, full-time position is $23.13 to $29.09 hourly, non-exempt. 

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
