Belhaven’s School of Science & Mathematics also boasts a large proportion of female students as well as minority and first-generation college students. We are members of the Association of Computing and Machinery, the Mathematical Association of America, and Association of Christians in Mathematical Services and encourage students to engage in professional development such as applying for internships, attending conferences, interacting with professionals, and taking site visits.

The MCS Department offers both BS and BA degrees in mathematics, a BS in actuarial sciences, a BS in computer science, and a BS in computer information systems. In addition to these degrees, we offer a double major in mathematics and engineering with partnerships with the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State University. In this program, students receive a mathematics degree from Belhaven and an engineering degree of their chosen partner institution over a five-year period.
