Job Description - Territory Manager


TEN Healthcare is advancing precision medicine through the use of best-in-class diagnostic laboratory products and services. We offer full service clinical laboratory specializing in PCR Infectious Disease, Toxicology and Clinical Blood and pride ourselves on quality, speed and precision.

The Opportunity

TEN Healthcare is hiring a Territory Manager based in Phoenix, AZ who will be responsible for selling and marketing TEN Healthcare Laboratory services to a defined regional territory and managing the clients within that territory. This role will involve understanding the unique needs of these healthcare facilities, promoting medical products and services, and achieving sales targets.

What You Will Work On

  • Territory Growth & Market Development: Grow and maintain an established territory through relationship marketing to independent clinics, long-term care facilities, and rural health facilities, while exploring new market opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as a liaison between TEN Healthcare and clients, ensuring effective communication and delivering information that will contribute to the success of their pathology and/or toxicology testing programs.
  • Industry Expertise: Keep up to date with the latest pathology and toxicology data and research to engage in meaningful discussions with clients about industry trends and innovations.
  • Sales & Account Management: Meet weekly goals for decision-maker contacts, scheduled appointments, new business cold calls, and maintenance calls. Take ownership of prospecting new business and managing existing accounts within the territory.
  • Territory Analysis & Strategy: Define market demographics, perform competitor analysis, and develop strategies to capture new business and retain existing clients.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and standards while managing customer accounts.
  • Sales Reporting & Administration: Submit travel and expense reports according to company policies. Maintain communication with your supervisor and provide updates on account statuses, sales progress, and challenges.

Requirements

Qualifications
To perform the job successfully, an individual must meet the following qualifications:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong Written & Verbal Communication Skills: Able to communicate effectively and confidently with clients and team members.
  • Strategic Planning & Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet sales goals and deadlines.
  • Flexibility & Adaptability: Willingness to adjust to changes in products and the healthcare environment.
  • Sales Experience: 2-3 years of industry-related sales experience, with healthcare experience preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, though not required.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate and close sales deals.

Travel Requirements:
This position requires up to 50% travel within your assigned territory and occasional overnight travel.

Compensation:
The base salary for this position is $65,000 and includes a bonus structure based on performance. The specific pay range may vary depending on location.
