Job Description - Territory Manager - Baltimore

Aroa Biosurgery Limited is a soft-tissue regeneration company that develops, manufactures, and distributes surgical products to improve healing in complex soft tissue reconstruction procedures. Founded in 2008, the company is built on proprietary AROA ECM™ Technology, a novel extracellular matrix biomaterial derived from ovine forestomach. Aroa’s mission is to “unlock regenerative healing for everybody” by delivering a next generation platform that significantly improve outcomes for patients, surgeons, and clinicians. The company focuses on making its solutions widely accessible and affordable, aiming to change the standard of care in tissue regeneration. Grounded in its name, which is Māori for “understanding,” Aroa integrates biological insight, structural design, and human factors to harness the body’s intrinsic ability to heal.

About the role:
The Territory Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Central Maryland, responsible for driving sales growth and market adoption of Aroa Biosurgery’s products within an assigned geographic territory. This role includes managing relationships with surgeons, clinicians, hospital decision-makers, and distributors, as well as conducting product presentations, in-servicing, and clinical education in operating rooms and outpatient care settings. The Territory Manager will identify new business opportunities, execute territory sales plans, and provide feedback from the field to inform marketing, product development, and customer support initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities also include forecasting and reporting on sales activities, maintaining accurate CRM records, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards. The role is operating room focused with consistent customer site visits, conference attendance and training events, and collaboration with cross-functional internal teams.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven success in medical device, biotech, or healthcare sales, with a strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Experience in surgical specialties such as reconstructive, trauma, plastics, general, colorectal, orthopaedic, and lower extremity surgery is highly desirable.

  • Minimum of three years’ operating room (OR) sales experience within relevant surgical disciplines, with demonstrated exposure to hospital and clinical environments including operating rooms and outpatient clinics.

  • Strong ability to develop and manage a sales territory, including prospecting, account planning, pipeline management, forecasting, reporting, and driving consistent commercial outcomes.

  • Established credibility and relationship-building skills with surgeons, clinicians, hospital staff, and procurement/supply chain stakeholders, with the ability to influence across complex healthcare environments.

  • Clinical aptitude and confidence working in operating theatre settings, including supporting product demonstrations, case support, and the ability to learn and communicate complex medical and biological concepts (e.g., cellular biology and tissue healing/remodelling).

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and accessible messaging for diverse audiences.

  • Strong commercial acumen, competitive drive, and a results-focused mindset, with the initiative to create momentum, take ownership, and work independently in the field.

  • High level of organisation, self-motivation, and time management, with the ability to prioritise effectively across a territory.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software for territory management, reporting, documentation, and forecasting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).

We offer:

  • Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Competitive commission plans, enabling you to drive your own success

  • Generous paid time off, including your birthday off

  • 401(k) plan with company matching

  • A collaborative and inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives

  • A chance to directly influence patient outcomes while helping shape the future of wound care and soft tissue repair

Most importantly, you'll join a mission-led organization where your work matters. You'll build a territory, drive meaningful growth, and help bring life-changing healing solutions to more patients and providers around the world.
