Job Description - Territory Sales Representative

AdeptHR is Hiring a Territory Sales Representative!

Location: Vernon, CA (On-site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $35.00/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Overview

AdeptHR is partnering with a leading specialty food distributor to hire a driven and results-oriented Territory Sales Representative. This role is focused on building strong customer relationships, driving new business, and achieving sales targets in a competitive market.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional who thrives in a relationship-driven environment and enjoys both fieldwork and strategic sales execution.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote, and sell products using strong product knowledge and customer-focused recommendations
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Generate leads through networking, outreach, and in-person visits
  • Conduct product sampling and cost-benefit analyses to meet customer needs
  • Accurately enter and manage orders (pricing, products, timelines)
  • Resolve customer concerns in collaboration with internal teams
  • Track sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets set by management
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Stay informed on industry trends and opportunities

Must Have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in wholesale meat sales
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Outlook)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience in food service, hospitality, or grocery industries
  • Industry certifications or additional sales training
