Job Description - Test Technician - 1st Shift

Eaton\u2019s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Test Technician - 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!\n\nThe core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.\n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n * Pressure test aircraft ducting systems using High Pressure and Burst Tests\n * Serialize parts to properly identify part placement\n * Use 2D Part Marking System\n * Conduct underwater visual examination to ensure quality of weld and leakage\n * Read routers for drawing requirements and determining marking specs and location\n * Perform visual inspection to detect damages that may occur prior to delivery\n * Print and fill out ATP form\n * Weigh, measure, and check that parts meet drawing requirements \n * Multi-task and prioritize parts to sustain on time delivery \n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualification:\n\n * High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution. \n * Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment\n * This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. \u0027Green Card Holder\u0027), Political Asylee, or Refugee. \n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\n * No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization\n * Must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision\n * Ability to interpret aerospace drawings, and using measuring equipment including but not limited to: calipers, measuring scale, and pi tape.\n * Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.\n * Must be able to stand 8 hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\n\n\n#LI-SK1\n\nThis position is classified as a safety\u2011sensitive role under applicable U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations.
