The Better Money Company - Payments Engineer

The next wave of stablecoin adoption is payments. We're building a stablecoin clearinghouse to make stablecoins move like money, not a trading asset. We're looking for a Payments Engineer who's obsessed with building fast, reliable, better money movement systems.

We believe stablecoins are better money and will be the backbone of better payments. We see key structural problems hindering stablecoin adoption, and we're going to fix them -- starting with building a clearinghouse. We're a small scrappy team based in NYC, we've raised $10M from a16z Crypto and other excellent partners, and we're here to bring better money to the world.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and scale components of our fiat money movement clearing system.

• Build integrations with banks, stablecoin issuers, custodians, and other partners.

• Design and build core product functionality to enable better stablecoin payments products.

• The dishes.

• 3+ years of experience building deeply with payment systems, financial infrastructure, and/or banking integrations

• You've scaled a payment system from 0-1 and ideally also taken it 1-10.

• Deep understanding of fiat payment rails (ACH, wires, RTP, etc.)

• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems - you balance shipping quickly with building robust systems that can scale.

• You thrive in ambiguity - you view a lack of specificity as an opportunity for ownership.
