Therapist / Social Worker

The Therapist coordinates services and planning for children who are referred through social services, probation, mental health departments, as well as self and community referrals. They require more intensive community‑based therapy for a variety of reasons, such as stepping down from a residential setting, needing additional support after a crisis, or seeking help for individual or family needs that have not been met through other systemic gaps. Services will be provided almost exclusively in the community in families’ homes, group homes, foster homes, schools, etc. The primary role is to ensure that all parties are working together toward stability for the child and family. Therapists engage clients in meaningful and authentic relationships while providing a safe, predictable, and positive environment that aligns with our clients’ values and cultures.

The Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) program provides comprehensive behavior health supports to youth with complex behavioral and mental health needs. The program's goal is to help youth thrive in their homes and communities and assist in helping them meet the goals they have identified.

Responsibilities:

• Promptly meet with clients and caregivers on a regular basis to further treatment goals utilizing culturally informed and best practice modalities.


• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams for the purpose of care planning and support.


• Collaborate with agency staff, caregivers, other professionals and interested parties to formulate and implement individual client care plans, behavioral programs, and interventions.


• Cultivate and maintain relationships with community members and providers, as needed.


• Complete assessment and evaluation process of clients in order to develop and implement the care plan.


• Provide assistance in case planning and consultation to team members on clinical issues, as well as casework issues, as appropriate.


• Chart mental health notes, care plans, outcome measures, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.


• Maintain availability for crisis intervention services, such as on-call rotation, if applicable.


• Participate in individual and/or group supervision.


• Attend all required trainings.


• Comply with all child abuse reporting and Medicaid/Medi-Cal requirements in accordance with standards set by Seneca.


• Maintain strict confidentiality of client and business operations information.


• Commit to and engage in self-evaluation as well as organizational goals, strategies, and systemic practices regarding diversity, equity and inclusion.


• Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's EQ-4 model training.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in social work/psychology/counseling.


• 
  

  Eligible to register as a LMFT, LICSW, LMFTA, LSWAIC or LMHC in accordance with the Washington State Department of Health.

  
  


• Experience working with children in out-of-home care preferred.


• At least 21 years of age.


• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.

Schedule

• Full-time; On-site
  
  
  
  • Monday - Friday: 9am - 5pm; client driven schedule
  
  
  
  


• 24/7 on-call crisis line for one week a time, approximately once every two months 


• Hold cases between multiple programs in Pierce County and King County as needed
