Therapy Department Coordinator

Our Therapy Office Coordinator works directly with the Hand and Arm Therapy Team to complete all administrative tasks related to patient scheduling, billing, and follow up care.

Summary Primary Responsibilities:

1. Patient Services- Scheduling appointments, Answering phones, Greeting Patients


2. Obtain and document authorizations and visit limits


3. Patient check in and maintaining accurate patient records


4. Review reports and update patient records as needed


5. Maintain patient confidentiality


6. Maintain medical records in accordance with published record retention standards


7. Administrative support including copying, filing, and data entry


8. Special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 6 months customer service/ reception experience in health care setting


2. Health care insurance, Worker's Compensation, and Medicare experience preferred


3. Orthopedic and or OT/PT clinic experience preferred


4. Ability to prioritize own work and work of others


5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills


6. Strong personal computer skills (Microsoft Office and Windows)


7. Detail oriented


8. Highly dependable


9. Office phone experience


10. Ability to type 30 words per minute required
