Title Clerk

Fury Motors is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Automotive Title Clerk to join our Accounting team. This position is responsible for ensuring vehicle titles, registrations, and related state documentation are processed accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, takes ownership of their work, communicates proactively, and is comfortable managing multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities

• Process titles and registrations for new and used vehicle transactions, including in-state and out-of-state deals.
• Review deal paperwork for accuracy and completeness before submitting title and registration work.
• Process title applications through VITU, MNDrive, DMV, and other applicable state agencies.
• Maintain accurate title, missing title, lien release, MSO, and related tracking logs.
• Obtain missing titles, lien releases, and required documentation from lenders, customers, dealerships, and other parties.
• Communicate missing or incorrect paperwork promptly with Sales, Finance, Accounting, and Management.
• Research and resolve title discrepancies, rejected applications, registration issues, and customer title concerns.
• Manage duplicate titles, corrections, reassignments, plate transfers, and other title-related transactions as needed.
• Process and ship wholesale titles promptly and maintain accurate documentation of completed transactions.
• Stay current on state requirements and dealership processes to ensure title work remains compliant and audit-ready.
• Reconcile assigned title schedules and accounts and research outstanding or aged items.
• Take ownership of title issues from identification through final resolution, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Maintain organized title files and ensure completed documentation is properly recorded and retained.
• Work closely with the Accounting, Sales, Finance, and Inventory teams to keep transactions moving efficiently.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as assigned by Management.

• Previous automotive dealership title or registration experience required.
• Experience with VITU, MNDrive, DMV processing, or similar title systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication and follow-through skills.
• Ability to identify issues, research solutions, and take ownership through completion.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
• Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
