Eaton\u2019s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Toolmaker - 2nd Shift. \n\nThe hourly rate for this position is $35 + $1.50 shift differential per hour. \nThis position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\nEaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton\u0027s plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.\n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nEssential Duties \u0026 Responsibilities\n\n * Fabricate, assemble, and maintain tools, dies and related accessories required to meet internal or customer requirements.\n * Provide input, as requested, to assist with die design and strip layout processes\n * Inspect all work to ensure specifications are met, utilizing appropriate measuring equipment.\n * Maintain all personal measuring equipment ensuring measuring accuracy.\n * Operate and maintain tool room equipment, including but not limited to surface grinders, mills, drill presses, and water grinders.\n * Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.\n * Maintain and log accurate information in Die log\n * Complete processes of troubleshooting, debugging, and qualifying stamping dies. \n * Perform preventative maintenance of dies and keep accurate records of PM activity\n * Provide on the job training to Tool \u0026 Die Apprentices, as requested.\n * Assess and document progress of apprentice performance on assigned jobs and progress though apprenticeship program\n * Comply with all company quality, environmental, and health and safety requirements.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired:\n\n * Education: High School Diploma or GED \n * 2 years of tool and die maker experience \n\n\n\nPreferred: \n\n * Certified Journeyman Tool and Die Maker (Preferred)\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Computer Use/Math/Documentation\n * Good written and verbal communication skills\n * Ability to work well with a team\n\n\n * Detail oriented and ability to prioritize \n\n\n * Dependable\n * Strong work ethic\n * Work ownership\n * Following Procedure\n\n\n\nPhysical Demands/work environment: The physical/work environment demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
