Trade Control Analyst | Natural Gas & Power

Optimus is partnering with an energy trading client seeking a Trade Control Analyst to support accurate trade processing, strengthen controls, and help manage operational risk. This is an opportunity for someone with middle office, trade support, confirmations, or settlements experience to move further into risk.

What You’ll Do

• Validate trade details and reconcile transactions within the energy trading and risk management (ETRM) system.
• Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolution with Trading, Risk, Operations, and Settlements.
• Support daily trade controls, exception reporting, and timely escalation of issues.
• Maintain clear documentation and help improve processes across the trade lifecycle.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in trade control, middle office, trade support, confirmations, settlements, or related energy trading operations.
• Natural gas experience preferred; power experience also considered.
• Understanding of the physical and financial commodity trade lifecycle.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with an ETRM platform and the ability to work effectively across commercial and control teams.
