Job Description

Kayne Anderson Rudnick, headquartered in Los Angeles, is a well-respected wealth and asset management firm that manages around $60 billion in assets and employs more than 135 people across the United States. Established in 1984, KAR began by managing John Anderson’s family assets but gradually expanded its services to include relatives, friends, and eventually a wide range of clients—including high net-worth individuals, public organizations, corporations, endowments, and foundations. Today, the company operates as an affiliate of Virtus Investment Partners, a Hartford, Connecticut-based multi-boutique investment management firm.

We are seeking a Trade Desk Assistant to join our Global Equity Trading Desk and work at the heart of global markets, supporting trading operations across both domestic and international strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate, highly analytical recent graduate who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to develop expertise on a respected trading desk.

  • Book trades in Charles River Development (CRD) and oversee post-trade processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Perform end-of-day checks across Charles River OMS and Newport EMS systems, helping safeguard the integrity of our trading operations.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in global equity markets and trading operations.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Effective communicator and team collaborator.

  • Familiarity with trading systems (e.g., Charles River, GWP, Newport EMS) is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power Query or VBA is a bonus.

  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, or other data analysis tools a plus.

  • Knowledge of data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly).

  • Familiarity with financial market data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE).

  • Knowledge of market structure and trading systems is advantageous.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 plus bonus.
