We are seeking a Trade Desk Assistant to join our Global Equity Trading Desk and work at the heart of global markets, supporting trading operations across both domestic and international strategies. This is an exciting opportunity for passionate, highly analytical recent graduate who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to develop expertise on a respected trading desk.
As a Trade Desk Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the equity trading team and gain hands-on experience with sophisticated trading systems and global markets. This dynamic, high-impact position offers you a front-row seat to the decision-making processes that drive investment success, setting you up for long-term growth within a collaborative, performance-driven culture.
Act as a key liaison between Trading, Operations, and Portfolio Implementation teams to resolve trade-related issues efficiently and accurately.
Execute Private Model-only trades in GWP under the direction of our expert Institutional Trading Desk, deepening your understanding of strategic execution.
Take ownership of the Charles River Trade Blotter for new orders and program trades, developing a keen eye for detail and process optimization.
Monitor and adjust trade orders to ensure seamless flow between Charles River OMS and Newport EMS systems, leveraging cutting-edge technology to support best execution.
Book trades in Charles River Development (CRD) and oversee post-trade processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Perform end-of-day checks across Charles River OMS and Newport EMS systems, helping safeguard the integrity of our trading operations.
Ideal Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong interest in global equity markets and trading operations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communicator and team collaborator.
Familiarity with trading systems (e.g., Charles River, GWP, Newport EMS) is a plus.
Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power Query or VBA is a bonus.
Experience with Python, R, SQL, or other data analysis tools a plus.
Knowledge of data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly).
Familiarity with financial market data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE).
Knowledge of market structure and trading systems is advantageous.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 plus bonus.
The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in a company incentive plan.
This position requires U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency (Green Card holder) as a condition of employment. We are unable to sponsor work visas or provide support for OPT/CPT programs for this role.
