Transit Management Analyst Trainee

POSITON SUMMARY:

The position supports Overhaul Shop operations and related production activities, with a strong focus on safety management and administrative coordination. The role provides essential support to the Division of Car Equipment by assisting management and staff with technical training, regulatory compliance, audits, and various ad‑hoc projects.

RESPONSABILITIES:

•         Perform data entry related to SMS production activities and post‑inspection results.

•         Create reports using RMIS/Hexagon and other systems that support Overhaul Shop production.

•         Provide data input and updates for the Facility Maintenance Program equipment inventory.

•         Monitor and generate safety and technical‑training reports using PeopleSoft.

•         Prepare reports to ensure compliance with AAR (Association of American Railroads) regulations.

•         Develop PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, and maintain confidential records and files supporting all Overhaul Shop operations.

•         Compile information to prepare Monthly Activity Reports, maintain personnel records, and assist with timekeeping and payroll ATS audits.

•         Work on the Overhaul Shop floor as needed, using proper PPE and engaging with employees involved in maintenance and SMS activities on subway cars.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Transit Management Analyst Trainee: 

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.

DESIRED SKILLS:

•         Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

•         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

•         Strong data retention and filing skills, with the ability to organize and maintain records accurately.

SELECTION METHOD

Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, interview, and written assessment.

All selected candidates will be subject to a full background investigation that includes employment and education. Discrepancies may lead to dismissal.
