Transportation Van Driver WRA Health Center

Western Reserve Academy (WRA) is seeking a dependable and caring Van Driver to support the Health Center during the 2026-27 school year. WRA is a college-preparatory boarding school serving students in grades 9-12 on a beautiful 190+ acre campus in Hudson, Ohio. Our Health Center provides care and support to students throughout the school year, and reliable transportation is an important part of helping students access medical and health-related services off campus. 

The Health Center Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from off-campus medical and health-related appointments. The driver will provide a safe, dependable, and welcoming experience for students while representing WRA in the community. 

Transportation should be  available between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday - Friday. Driving assignments may include:  

• Transporting students to and from medical, dental, therapy, or other health-related appointments
• Dropping off paperwork or other materials at Akron Children’s Hospital or other healthcare facilities
• Picking up prescriptions or other items for the Health Center
• Assisting with student check-in or registration activities on registration days, as needed
• Supporting the Health Center with other transportation needs as they arise

Drivers typically work 5-20 hours per week, depending on the needs of the Health Center and the student appointment schedule. 

We try to schedule all health appointments in  advance whenever possible, although there may occasionally be a need for a driver on short notice. 

Health Center Transportation Drivers must:

• Have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Successfully complete a fingerprinting background check prior to employment 
• Complete a yearly physical as required by WRA
• Complete required driving education and training in order to operate a WRA school van or vehicle
• Follow all WRA policies and procedures related to student transportation and safety
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when transporting students and handling health-related information

This is a part-time position with a schedule that varies based on the needs of the Health Center.
