Job Description - Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Grant-Mill Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment within PET Imaging Services in Atlanta. This opportunity offers a four-day workweek, 40 guaranteed hours and a competitive weekly compensation package.

Position Overview

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will support PET Imaging Services by performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols and applicable safety standards. The selected technologist should have recent specialty experience and be comfortable working independently in a hospital imaging environment.

Assignment Details

  • Weekly compensation: Starting at $2300 per week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Assignment dates: August 17–November 14, 2026
  • Schedule: Tuesday–Friday
  • Shift: 8:00 AM–6:30 PM
  • Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
  • Department: PET Imaging Services
  • Radius requirement: Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility


Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic examinations
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established protocols
  • Operate imaging equipment and produce diagnostic-quality studies
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond to changes appropriately
  • Maintain accurate documentation of administered materials and completed studies
  • Follow radiation-safety, infection-control and patient-safety procedures
  • Perform required quality-control checks
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses and imaging professionals
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and provide a professional patient experience

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
  • Recent PET or PET/CT imaging experience
  • Current Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board certification
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support certification
  • Knowledge of radiation-safety and radiopharmaceutical-handling requirements
  • Ability to work Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
  • Ability to begin the assignment on August 17, 2026
