Travel RN Operating Room in Lawton, OK with $2600 Weekly Gross

Sage Group HealthCare Staffing is seeking Operating Room RN for a travel/contract positions in Lawton, OK. We are accepting both local and traveler candidates.

Position Details:

Position Name: Travel RN Operating Room

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Pay Rate: Range $2320 to $2600 weekly Gross Pay based on a 40-hour work week (Includes Non-taxable travel/housing and M&I stipend available for qualified/eligible travelers)

Unit: Hospital 

Shifts available: Afternoons

Schedule: 40 hours/week guaranteed, 5 X 8-hr shifts. No weekends, No Call

• Operating Room RN experience: Recent/Current, 2 years  - Required
  


• CVOR experience  - Highly preferred 
  

Education, License and Certification Requirements

• RN License for state applying or compact if permitted in the state  - Required
  


• AHA BLS Certifications  - Required
  


• AHA ACLS - Required
  


• NIHSS - Required (Can obtain upon offer)
  

Job Description:

• Prepare patients for surgery by verifying medical history, allergies, and surgical consents, and explaining procedures to alleviate patient anxiety.
  


• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to infection control protocols and assisting with the proper sterilization of instruments and equipment.
  


• Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, handling supplies, and monitoring patients' vital signs and overall condition.
  


• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
  


• Monitor patients post-operatively, assess recovery progress, and provide necessary information and emotional support to patients and families regarding expected outcomes and aftercare instructions.
  


• Document all aspects of patient care accurately, including observations, actions taken, and responses to interventions during the perioperative period.
  


• Respond promptly to emergencies and unexpected situations in the operating room, demonstrating critical thinking and the ability to act quickly under pressure.
