About Mindful Mobile Medicine
Mindful Mobile Medicine (sister company to Refined Hospice and Home Health) brings primary care and psychiatry directly to older adults where they live: assisted living, memory care, and private homes along the Wasatch Front. We are a clinician-led team, and we believe good care is unhurried, personal, and delivered with dignity.
Position Summary
We are hiring a Traveling Lead Medical Assistant to support our providers in the field. You will travel between facilities and homes, set up each visit, and keep our clinicians on schedule and well supported. This role fits someone who is steady, resourceful, and comfortable working autonomously with older adults, including those with complex needs and those nearing end of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel independently to assisted living, memory care, and private home settings to support provider visits
- Prepare for each visit: review the schedule, confirm patient and facility details, and gather needed supplies and equipment
- Room patients and take vital signs, history, and screening measures accurately
- Assist providers during visits and carry out orders for point-of-care testing, injections, specimen collection, and other clinical tasks within scope of practice
- Communicate with compassion and patience with patients, families, caregivers, and facility staff, including those living with dementia
- Document accurately and on time in the EHR, and follow up on orders, referrals, and care coordination tasks
- Maintain infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards in every setting
- Keep medical supplies stocked and equipment clean and in working order
- Serve as a lead for the medical assistant team by modeling best practices, supporting onboarding and training of new MAs, and acting as a resource for questions in the field
- Partner with the office team and clinical leadership to flag scheduling issues, facility needs, and opportunities to improve how we work
