POSITION: Truck and Pup, Strong Arm, Haul and Dump Truck Drivers 

LOCATION: Utah County 

HOURS: 

  • Expected overtime hours in the summer. 

  • Frequent nights and weekend work, in addition to day shift.

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Trucking Foreman, Truck Drivers are responsible for performing all driving duties in a safe manner, maintaining and cleaning assigned trucks, and performing daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. 

 

DUTIES: 

  • Visualize, fulfill, and implement the company's vision and core values. 

  • Perform driving assignments. 

  • Maintain and clean assigned trucks and perform daily pre and post trip inspections. Report any mechanical problems to the maintenance division. 

  • Obey all traffic laws and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements. 

  • Assist other employees and work with others as a team on a construction crew. 

  • Maintain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and department of transportation (DOT) Medical Card. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. 

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance. 

  • Must have a Class A or B CDL, current DOT Medical Card, a clean, insurable driving record. 

  • Able to work well with others in a team environment and follow instructions. 

  • Able to move at least 50 pounds. 

  • Must be able and available to Travel and work Out of Town when needed. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/SAFETY: 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. 

  • Sitting: 80% of time 

  • Standing: 20% of time 

  • Driving: 80% of time 

  • Weight Lifted: Must frequently be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. May occasionally lift items above their head. 

  • Physical Movement: May frequently be required to walk over uneven ground, balance, stoop/crouch, kneel, grab and hold objects. Required to climb a ladder on the truck several times a day. 

  • Speaking / Listening: Needs to be able to communicate well with customers, dispatch, supervision, receive and follow instructions, and understand safety requirements. 

  • Working Conditions: 90% of time will be spent working outside in the elements. Must be able to work long and irregular hours (early and late) during the busy season.
