Position Overview:

• As the Local Trucking Fleet Manager at FW Trucking, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our operations. You will be responsible for overseeing a fleet of 50+ Class A semi-truck drivers who haul 53' dry van units. Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth and timely dispatch of drivers while maintaining the highest level of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee Trucking Operations and ensure the profitability of the Trucking Division, routes, etc.
• Oversee & manage the employees of the Trucking Division
• Have one on one conversations with drivers concerning positive and negative performance issues. 
• Dispatch and coordinate daily routes for a fleet of 15+ Class A semi-truck drivers.
• Ensure all drivers comply with federal and state regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Monitor driver performance, including on-time deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
• Collaborate with the Safety Manager to schedule and prioritize repairs and routine maintenance for fleet vehicles.
• Track and manage driver hours to ensure compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
• Resolve operational issues, including route changes, delays, and customer requests.
• Maintain accurate records of driver activities, including electronic logs and paperwork.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment among the driver team.
• Communicate effectively with customers to address any concerns or issues related to deliveries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS rules.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including transportation management software.
• Ability to work independently and make critical decisions.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.
• Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is a plus but not required.
