Trucking Logistics Coordinator

Buchanan Transportation is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Trucking Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Waynesboro, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the transportation of trucks, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients. The ideal candidate will have strong logistical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule trucking and transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of a variety of freight for & east coast customers


• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues.


• Monitor transportation routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.


• Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and driver performance.


• Assist in resolving any transportation or delivery problems promptly and professionally.


• Collaborate with vendors and external partners to support operational needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in trucking or transportation.


• CDL knowledge preferred


• 1 year experience in transportation industry preferred


• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Proficiency with transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.


• High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or supply chain education is a plus.
