Truss Laborer

PURPOSE:

A Truss Laborer assists in the manufacturing, assembly, handling, and loading of roof and floor trusses in a production facility. This role requires the safe operation of tools and equipment, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

DESCRIPTION:

• Assemble roof and floor trusses according to blueprints and specifications.


• Measure, cut, position, and secure lumber using hand and power tools.


• Load and unload lumber, finished trusses, and other materials.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.


• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.


• Operate forklifts, saws, nail guns, and other equipment (training/certification may be required).


• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.


• Perform other general labor duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment.


• Full-time position with possible overtime during peak production periods.


• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Previous construction, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is an asset but not required.


• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.


• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50–75 pounds regularly.


• Stand, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods.


• Perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms.


• Work in varying temperatures and industrial environments.


• Ability to safely perform physically demanding work.


• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
