Trust and Estates Associate Attorney

Reid and Riege, P.C., a mid-sized Connecticut law firm with offices in Hartford and New Haven and a well-established trusts and estates practice, seeks a self-motivated associate with one to five years of experience drafting wills and trust agreements, settling estates, administering trusts and researching associated tax and other legal issues. Qualified candidates will have exceptional writing ability, demonstrate appropriate initiative when making decisions and ability to work independently within time sensitive deadlines.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, an aggressive work ethic, and excellent judgment. • Connecticut Bar admission in good standing, or ability to become admitted promptly
• Experience in estate planning, trust and estate administration, tax, or a related practice area preferred
• Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage responsibilities independently while working effectively as part of a collaborative team
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with clients, attorneys, fiduciaries, and other professionals
